The IT research company Gartner lists iteraplan in the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools as the first and only open source EAM tool. iteraplan, now placed in the Visionaries quadrant, has already received a recommendation as an "honorable mention" last year.

Gartner refers to iteraplan as a unique solution that has deserved to move into the Magic Quadrant thanks to its dedicated community and the ability to run on smartphones and tablets. Another feature that sets iteraplan apart from the other mentioned EAM tools is the SaaS offering that allows users to get started with iteraplan right away.

"It is remarkable how well we are positioned at the first mention in the Magic Quadrant", says Inge Hanschke, head of EAM at iteratec and author of several books on the subject. "We extend our thanks to Gartner for our placement as a Visionary, and particularly to our employees, supporters and the community. Without them iteraplan would not be the most successful open source EAM tool in the world today."
